21 Oct 45th P.S.I. Auction: 52 Premium Horses in the Spotlight
(Ankum) December is the time of year when we gather around and share special moments under the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree. It is also the time when Performance Sales International celebrates its famous annual auction. The 45th P.S.I. Auction today proudly presents the next generation of elite horses for dressage and jumping. 52 talented and carefully selected young athletes from the renowned Lewitz and Osthoff stud farms, equipped with the best genetics and high performance potential, will go under the hammer at the P.S.I. Showstoppers of the collection
The current P.S.I. catalogue is adorned with offspring of the sought-after jumping sires Chacoon-Blue, Cornet’s Balou and Conthargos. Auction candidates such as the four-year-old Conzey PS, the five-year-old Challenge Blue PS and the six-year-old Corlytender PS all emerged as champions in their age group at the 2024 Dobrock Deister Championships. The dressage-orientated youngsters are particularly impressive due to their highly accomplished and successful sporting families: The mare Vivendy opens the collection with an exquisite pedigree via Vivino x Fürst Jazz x Sir Donnerhall. Another daughter of Vivino, Venaria, is a half-sister to World Championship bronze medallist Fashion Prinz OLD. Letasio’s ancestry has already produced the Bundeschampioness Saniola and the advanced level dressage winner Force Majeure. The Feinrich stallion For Global represents the family of the famous elite mare Gesina and is rightly a real showstopper in this year’s dressage collection.
Ulli Kasselmann looks at this year’s collection with understandable breeder’s pride: “Our valuable dam lines at Gestüt Osthoff and in Lewitz are the basis of successful sport horse breeding. Mares such as Zarin, Miss Breitling, Fantastica PS, Hosandra, Attraction and Gesina have all produced offspring that have caused a sensation, first in Ankum and later in the dressage arena. The worldwide successes of our horses, not least at the Olympic Games in Paris, are the most effective advertisement for our breeding programme and our brand.”
