08 Dec Headliners of the 45th P.S.I. Auction exceed the million mark
(Ankum) Already the fourth horse in the auction ring broke through the famous million mark and that with confidence: Chaceana PS changed hands for 1.4 million euros. Sire Chacoon Blue is one of the most influential sires in modern show jumper breeding, who here meets an originally French dam line from Lewitz Stud. The dam Conceana PS jumped up to 1.50m under Geritt Nieberg. For her daughter Chaceana PS, the path to the big show jumping world seems to be open. The dressage collection immediately followed suit: The elegant Vivendy (by Vivino x Fürst Jazz ) was purchased for 1,260,000 Euros over the phone. The mare is moving to a very renowned dressage stable in Schleswig-Holstein.
The 45th P.S.I. Auction at the P.S.I. Sport and Auction Centre in Ankum was a complete success and once again set new standards in the international equestrian world. Riders, breeders and enthusiasts from all over the world gathered in Lower Saxony to take part in this prestigious event. A total of 50 top-class dressage and show jumping horses from Schockemöhle and Kasselmann were auctioned off, with several horses achieving top prices.
The Vitalis x Sandro Hit daughter Saint Lavinia opened the auction and quickly attracted the attention and bids of dressage enthusiasts. One bid surpassed the other until auctioneer Hendrik Schulze Rückamp’s hammer struck at 600,000 euros. The Meggle dressage stable from Bavaria secured the typey Livaldon x Florencio I offspring Livarello in an exciting contest, also for 600,000 euros. The impressive For Global (by Feinrich x Zonik) was the second most expensive dressage horse at €650,000 and is moving to new clients in Switzerland.
Mr Cento Chacco PS, the seven-year-old licensed stallion by Messenger, has already celebrated several successes in international 1.40m competitions under Eiken Sato and has also produced promising offspring at Gestüt Lewitz. After a successful bid of 800,000 euros, he will continue his career in Mexico. Catalogue number 33, Costaketta PS (by Continental-Blue x Stakkatol) represents a bloodline that has been honed at Gestüt Lewitz for 50 years and is worth 700,000 euros to its new owners.
The auction realised total proceeds of 19,660,000 euros. The dressage horses were auctioned off for a total of 8,980,000 euros with an average price of 359,200 euros, while the show jumpers realised 10,680,000 euros with an average price of 427,200 euros.
The P.S.I. Auction has once again shown itself to be one of the most important events in the international equestrian sport calendar. Its founders, Paul Schockemöhle and Ulli Kasselmann, congratulate the new owners and look forward to seeing their well-bred and carefully selected talents in international sport in the future. Their appreciation also goes to the entire P.S.I. team, without whose great commitment it would not be possible to present an auction collection at the highest level.
